Manager, Application Services

The Manager, Application Services is responsible for all aspects of application service delivery and support for custom-developed and COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf) applications. In order to achieve this, the incumbent must demonstrate an excellent understanding of organizational needs to enable and enhance CDIC’s capabilities through technical solutions. The incumbent also manages the portfolio of applications and works in collaboration with other functional areas in the corporation and with external service providers. The incumbent is responsible for managing application services staff and workloads related to application services projects.

Manager, Risk and Resolution

The Manager is accountable for early detection of vulnerabilities and risks posed by the portfolio of member institutions and ensuring that CDIC is adequately prepared to respond to a failure of a member. The Manager will, as required, assist with execution of intervention actions or a resolution in the event of a member failure, which will involve operating effectively within a crisis environment, and may include working long hours either from the CDIC office or from home, or travel to member’s locations.

Learning Coordinator (24-month term)

The Learning Coordinator advances the eLearning needs of CDIC including, but not limited to, maintenance and updates of learning modules that support the Corporation’s required regulatory-related learning. The position is responsible and accountable for partnering with the Director to design and develop eLearning courses and content to support the CDIC’s culture transformation.

Senior Legal Counsel

Infrastructure Operation and Support Specialist (24-month Term)

The Infrastructure Operation and Support Specialist (IOSS) is responsible for providing technical support for on premises and Cloud (Azure and O365) technology infrastructure by overseeing operations of the physical and virtual infrastructure including performing administration and maintenance. Additionally, the IOSS is responsible for ongoing support operations for disaster recovery to ensure the effective backup and recovery of CDIC data. The IOSS is also responsible for performing complex Local Area Network (LAN) administration functions and provide second level support to the ServiceDesk as required.

Analyst, Member Risk and Resolution

The Analyst, Member Risk and Resolution reports directly to one of two Directors, Risk Assessment, and supports the Risk Assessment Department generally. The Analyst is accountable for conducting regular risk and resolvability assessments of assigned CDIC member institutions; Assisting in resolution planning and preparedness activities; And supporting Risk Managers/Managers and Directors, and Heads in the Member Risk and Resolution Division.

Analyst, Valuation and Stress Testing (12-month Term)

Reporting to the Director, Valuation and Stress Testing (VST), the Analyst, VST conducts research to support member risk assessment, and resolution planning and preparedness activities. The Analyst, VST also serves as an expert internal resource in the areas of capital markets and resolution analytics, quantitative risk analysis, and modelling to support CDIC’s role as a resolution authority.

Trust Deposit Operations Analyst (36-month term)

Under the direction of the Director, Trust Deposit Operations, the Trust Deposit Operations Analyst is accountable for developing materials and identifying strategies and approaches to enhance stakeholders’ understanding of CDIC ‘s deposit insurance framework. This work will be done to assist stakeholders in meeting key requirements that protect deposits held at CDIC member institutions in the context of a dynamic financial services sector and maintain ongoing adherence to these rules.

Security Clearances

All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada. Security clearances are also required for positions at CDIC and involve verifying Canadian residency status, reference inquiries, criminal records and credit checks and fingerprinting.
